Unalakleet Community News

The St. Paul Coastal District and the Division of Governmental Coordination will be holding a series of community workshops for the Bering Sea Ecosystem Project over the next few weeks. The purpose of the meetings is for project staff to listen to local ideas and opinions about coastal management issues facing Bering Sea communities. The workshops will be held at the following communities:
Bethel April 5 7:00 pm City Log Cabin
Unalakleet April 7 7:00 pm Elementary School Multi-purpose room
Naknek April 20 3:00 pm City Council Chambers
Dillingham April 21 1:00 pm Choggiung Conference Room
The purpose of the Bering Sea Ecosystem Project is to improve communication and coordination between Bering Sea stakeholders. Goals include promoting good stewardship of Bering Sea coastal resources by obtaining information and sharing information with all stakeholders. The project is funded by the federal Coastal Zone Management Act through the Alaska Coastal Zone Management Program. For more information, contact:
