Enterprise attractions:

Home of the Boll Weevil Monument
The monument is at Main and College Streets, in Enterprise, Alabama.
In 1915 the boll weevil arrived in Coffee County from Mexico anddevoured the Main crop of cotton here. A farmer decided to trypeanuts and in 1916 the primary crop changed from cotton topeanuts. A monument was erected to remind all of the revolutioncaused by the boll weevil.
