History & History Related Items Rosa history: Ellis Bynam named the settlement where he lived after his girl friend, Rosa Honey, who lived in the Mt. Moriah area. The earliest church was established in 1887 in a pine grove. It was named Pine Grove Church. The town of Rosa was organized in April 1970. Glendon Ray was the first mayor.
