Susan Moore history:

In 1865 the Robert M. Moore family arrived from Georgia. His son, Dr. David Moore married Susan Nunnally and named the community Clarence in honor of his oldest son. The children of Robert and Susan Moore donated money for a new school named for their deceased mother, thus, the name Susan Moore School. The town was incorporated in 1982. T. J. Jackson was elected the first mayor.
