1770, May 21
HARRIS, William H.
died March 3, 1844. Buried in the Harris Cemetery.
The first county court was held in his home and the temporary seat was also in that home until the permanent courthouse was built in Bolivar.
He married Susanna Roberts. He was the first county judge. His descendents also were involved in local politics as well as in the State legislatures. He died 3 March 1844 and was buried in the family plot. His wife, Susanna, was born in 1771 and died 10 April 1840.
