Attractions

Paris is one of two County Seats. Boonville Arkansas is the other and both are located in Logan County.

Paris has an Airport, weekly newspaper, historical court house, historical downtown square area, and it is currently under renovation to return to its historical roots

Paris is the Gateway to Mt. Magazine and it is the highest point between the Rocky and Applacian Mountains.

We have an Arkansas room with fiction written by Arkansas authors as well as genealogy related to Arkansas especially Yell County. We cannot answer detailed questions over the phone or by mail due to limited staff, but we will be able to assist you best when you visit us. We have the Yell County Historical Society which may be able to offer further genealogical help if needed. We have some rare Arkansas works which do not circulate. We have 6 branch libraries located in Paris (Logan Co.), Clarksville (Johnson Co.), Ozark(Franklin Co), Charleston (Franklin Co.), Booneville (Logan Co.), Danville (Yell Co.). All are in Arkansas. We run an outreach Bookmobile system which serves rural communities in the four counties. We have been running it for over 40 years.
