Drive slowly along the winding scenic highway down to beautiful Lake Catherine. Catch a fleeting glimpse of graceful white-tailed deer. Sense a tingle of excitement as you pass through the forest-clad Ouachita Mountains which dominate the 2,180 acres of this popular lake park. Just 15 miles from Hot Springs National Park. A wide variety of outdoor activities is available in the park. From fishing and water sports to winding nature trails, Lake Catherine offers something for everyone.

Hot Springs National Park
This park is an unusual blend of a highly developed park in a small city surrounded by low lying mountains abounding in plantlife and wildlife. It is a park with a past too. In all seasons but winter, rangers lead tours to the open hot springs. Many flowers bloom along the park's hiking trails. Brilliant autumn foliage can be viewed from scenic mountain drives. The historic Bathhouse offers a chance to relax in the hot spring water. For information write:

National Park Duck Tours

A 10,000 square foot complete history of life in Hot Springs from 1850 to 1950. National Park Aquarium
