Howard D. Towner
Howard D. Towner, 85, died at his home March 2, 2004. Howard was born in Catlin , Illinois on Aug.25,1918. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a graduate of Catlin High School in 1936. He attended his 60th high school reunion in 1996. He was the son of Harvey Earl Towner & Mary Dolores Towner.
He married Nellie Bernice Schultz Sept. 20, 1941 and had three children. After leaving the army in 1944, he and Nellie moved to Danville, Illinois where they lived until 1963. They then moved to Tucson, AZ until 1980 when they moved to Springerville, Az. It was here in Springerville that they both died. Nellie died exactly six years earlier to the day, and both died in leap years.
