Somewhere, there is a student who needs your help
SIB pairs students with individuals from various cultural and professional backgrounds in one-to-one mentoring relationships. The mentors help the students broaden their views, guide them to challenging and rigorous course work, help the students keep the vision of opportunity that exits for them and motivate them to persevere in the midst of many distractions. Mentors spend approximately 4-6 hours/month with their student over a 10-month period. The mentoring programs are currently taking place in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Please join the wonderful team of current mentors
who share three gifts among other things: Time, Trust and Friendship, and make a difference in the life of a student. Currently, we have 600 students waiting to get matched with a mentor.
