Original School House on Proctor Valley Road
We live next door to the original school house in Jamul, dated back
in the 1800's. This school house has been remodeled and made into a
home over the years. The people that now own it are doing their
best to restore it, to resemble its original condition, while still
maintaining it as a home. They even keep their small mock-candle
lights lit in the windows 24 hrs a day as did the school. They
also have an authentic picture of the house and kids going into the
school hanging on their wall back from the 1800's. My question is,
does anyone know of any kind of grant or donation that they would be able
to get from somewhere to fix this place up? They are an awesome
family of seven and keep it up the best they can with the money they
have, but it is not enough.
Thank you and God bless,
Denise
