Friends for Youth
Is it possible for a single individual to change the world?
Friends for Youth, serving San Mateo and northern Santa Clara counties, has found a way to change worlds: they do it one at a time. Friends for Youth matches children and teens that have been identified as needing a positive role model with an adult volunteer. The time they spend together is a time when different doors and opportunities are opened for the youth in the program. Friends for Youth is a prevention program that seeks to support youth during the challenges of growing up. The window of opportunity to make a difference in the world of these youth is a small one. At any one point there are over seventy youth waiting to be matched.
If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering or supporting the youth of this program, please call us at (650) 482-2867.
