City Council: (805) 654-7827 The city offices are located in a landmark building which was originally the county courthouse. The same man, Albert C. Martin, who designed the Los Angeles City Hall building, designed this Poli Street edifice. It was built in 1913 and then renovated in 1973.
The city has a seven member city council. They are elected terms in elections held every odd-numbered year. The council terms are staggered.
