Housed in the old two-story stone jail that was built in 1896, this museum has many displays, many of which are housed in the old cells. Learn about the labor disputes where 54 people, including women and children, were killed in 10 days time. See pictures of Mary Harris "Mother" Jones who was known as the most dangerous woman in America as she led the protests during the coal strike of 1913-14. The bronze statue of a miner stands on a memorial with local miners' names. |
