
Footsteps of History
Petersburg National Battlefield - a Civil War site. Near Hopewell Virginia and not far from Richmond. Petersburg, Virginia became the setting for the longest siege in American history when General Ulysses S. Grant failed to capture Richmond in the spring of 1864.
Hopewell served as a supply headquarters for the Union general, Ulysses S. Grant
