Contribution Form Summary

Key To The City's information contribution form is used to gather information to present on Key To The City's WEB City-Pages. The information gathered by this form will be used in the Noted Notables section of the City-Page. The displayed content, or entry, will consist of information about Notables from the area followed by a reference citation.  The FIRST form page asks for the type of source document used(newspaper, book, etc.).  The SECOND form page asks for more source information(author, Publisher, etc.). This source information will be used to create the reference citation portion of the City-Page section entry.  The THIRD form page asks for the local noted notable description portion of the entry.

Noted Notables Contribution form for   - page 2

This form page collects citation information for the Noted Notables section of , where the source type is Newspaper. It has six input fields, four of which are required. The required fields are needed to be able to create the reference citation.

USAGE

Here are some reference input descriptions that will help you decide what information goes in each of the "Newspaper" input fields .

"Author" input field:

The author of the newspaper article.

"Newspaper Name" input field:

This is the name that the newspaper goes by I.E. "The City Herald".

"Newspaper Publisher Name" input field:

The newspaper publisher name can usually be found on page 2 of section A as part of the copyright notice.

"Newspaper Date" input field:

The newspaper date can be found on the front page.

"Newspaper Section" input field:

Usually a capital letter next to the page number at bottom of the page.

"Newspaper Page" field:

Usually a number at bottom of the page.

Navigating

- To return to page one of the contribution form type Ctrl/r on the keyboard.
- To return to the "active" City-Page click on the blue link at the lower left.
- To go to page 3 of the contribution form click "Next".
- To clear all of the input boxes click "Reset".
