Bainbridge history: Bainbridge is a very pretty town known as "The City of Oaks". Many very large oak trees are seen and loved throughout the city. There is an old park in town known as Oak City Park. In the days before there were so many cars, country folk came to town in their wagons and parked ithem in Oak City Park while they did their shopping. The park is very shady and made a good resting spot for the horses or mules.
