2nd Annual Garfield Washpot Cookout Arts & Crafts Festival
Sponsored by: Garfield Volunteer Fire Dept. & Garfield Masonic Lodge
Time: 10 am to Midnight
Place: Downtown Garfield
Featuring entertainment (gospel music, dancers, singers, country music) all day long.
Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. Soap Box Derby is an added attraction.
Arts and crafts will be a major attraction.
The name for this festival is derived from the food that is served during the lunch hour. A wide assortment of foods will be cooked in washpots over open flames. Foods such as fresh vegetables, stews, bar-b-que, beans, cornbread, etc. will be cooked right in front of your eyes. The food is delicious. Key note speaker this year is Representative Butch Parrish. There will be a street dance beginning at 5:00 and lasting until 12:00 that night.
