It was for him that the town was named. Parrott was a farming community that thrived during its early years. During the 1950's and 60's, the population began to shrink. By 1997, the town began a revitalization project which helped bring new business and life to the area. Main Street buildings were restored and the the shops of Parrott were introduced. They include antique malls, art galelries, craft shops and gift boutiques.
