1897, July 28
H.E. Frederick officially appointed Postmaster of Conrad. He was recommended for this post in a letter dated 21 July 1897 from the House of Representatives and signed by R.G. Cousins. The appointment letter was signed by the fourth assistant Postmaster General in Washington, D.C.

I recently came across some historical documents/letters for Conrad,Iowa. One is a letter from the House of Representatives dated July 21,1897 to H.E Frederick Esq recommending to be appointed postmaster of Conrad and signed by R.G.Cousins. The second letter is from the Post Office Department/office of the fourth assistant P.M General, appointment division, Washington D.C, July 28,1897, officially appointing H.E.Frederick as Postmaster of Conrad. Signed by the Fourth assistant Postmaster General in Washington, D.C.
