The Expo High School Boys Basketball Team played 2 games this season with a 2-0 record. Playing Grundy Center High School, and Iowa City Alternative High. The starting roster for Expo High includes:

The first game Expo played was a defeat over host Grundy Center High on January 26, 2001. Where Expo beat Grundy in a nailbiter, 60-53. The first half ended 24-22 in Expo's favor. Ryan Mielke scored a total of 18 points, Adam Wilson and Jay Bruess both scored a total of 12 points a piece, and Jeremy Carpenter contributed 2 points in the game. The "Bench Squad" put down 18 points altogether, with Phillip Thompson burying 7 points, Lovelle Banks putting down 6, Jamaar Campbell with 3, and Justin Derifield with 2 points.

On February 2, 2001, Expo played host to Iowa City, crushing them on a 78-29 victory. The first half was no competiton to Expo, ending in their favor 46-13. Total points for Expo's starters included Joe Ayala and Ryan Mielke with 8 total points each, and Jeremy Carpenter and Jay Bruess with 6 points a piece, Adam Wilson contributing 2. The "Bench Squad" scores were, Justin Derifield with a season High 10 points, Phillip Thompsons 8 points, along with Josh Tuckers 8 points, Jaamar Campbell and Phillip Pencil shooting down 6 a piece, T.J. Berns with 4, and Ryan Klapp, Shay Noble, and Matt Chapman, each contributing 2. Expo showed much appreciation inviting Iowa City to have pizza and pop, which they gladly accepted.
