The Old Town Hall

Bellevue, Idaho
Built in the late 1800's to house the town's hand fire cart. A city office was added in the back later on. Today, this historic building houses a museum and the offices of the Idaho Heritage Trust. The Museum is open weekends in the summer.

Bellevue consisted of John Cunningham's store, 6 saloons, 2 general stores, 1 restaurant, 1 barber shop, 1 butcher shop, 2 large boarding houses, 1 hotel, several small boarding houses, 1 hardware store, 1 assay office, a post office(inside Cunningham's store), and a population of 2000. Bellevue's
first official post office was awarded 6/23/1880.
