History & History Related Items Chrisney history: Chrisney was originally called Spring's Station because there was a spring that ran by the railroad station. In 1882 the name was changed to Chrisney after John B. Chrisney who was the first owner of the site and had arranged for a post office. The current elementary school is named after John B. Chrisney as well.
