I was born on April 12, 1956 at a hospital called "Hatcher Hospital", a private, family-owned hospital on the main street of Wellington. It was quite small but the Doctors Hatcher, father and son, were exceptionally talented. My doctor was the son, Albert Hatcher.
I understand from my father that this hospital has burned down, and I am curious as to whether the birth records went up with the fire. Can anybody out there provide any information on this? I am particularly interested in the TIME of my birth. Apparently the birth certificates were inconsistent in logging this information at that time.

Thomas Jefferson Defrees is said to have been constable at Wellington, early to mid 19th century. I am searching for descendants of his and hope someone at Wellington may contact me.
