Mid-America All-Indian Center This museum shows the heritage of
the native tribes of North America. Many permanent and rotating exhibits. Gift
shop available. Please calls for hours and details.
Mid-America All-Indian Center This is a 44 foot tall sculpture
using 50 tons of metal. It stands as a tribute to all native Americans.
"Heritage of the West" Over 20 original paintings, watercolors,
drawings and bronzes from the M.C. Naftzger collection. Other outstanding western
art may also be seen at the museum. Please call for hours and details. A gift
shop is available.

Among the gardens located here are:
The Shakespearean Garden, The Butterfly Garden, The Beverly R. Blue Teaching
Garden, The Rose Garden, The Aquatic Collection, and The Wildflower Garden.

Buffalo
Bill Monument & Gravesite
Highland Cemetery The Original Buffalo Bill was actually
named William Mathewson. The Indians knew him as "Sinpah Zilbah" ("The
Long-bearded dangerous white man"). See this monument of his gravesite.

523 E. Douglas This hotel was first opened on January
1, 1887 with the name of the "Carey House." It was here that Carrie
Nation, the famous prohibitionist, smashed the hotel bar on December 27, 1900.
The hotel's name was changed to the Eaton in 1910. The hotel is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places.
