The Museum is housed in the Cobb House and located in "Old Eddyville." The Cobb House is a two story Federal Style Brick Mansion built by the grandfather of Humorist Irvin S. Cobb in 1832. It is listed on the National Registry and has been restored by the Lyon County Historical Society.
You may see a working model of an iron furnace here as well as many other period items.
Kentucky State Penitentiary

This prison was built over 100 years ago and is madeof stone next to Lake Barkley. Often referred to as "The Castle on the Cumberland," it is a must for visitors as well as photography buffs.
Mineral Mounds State Park
Eddyville, Kentucky
this 541 acre park features a boat ramp, picnic area, and hiking trails. The property known as Mineral Mounds was originally developed by Willis Machren, grandfather of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, author F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife.

Moulton School

This historic school which originally stood in Confederate Kentucky was built in 1928 and named for Darius Moulton, pastor and teacher of the original Moulton Methodist church and school from the 1840's. The school was given to the Eddyville Women's Club in 1981 and moved to its present site. It is now home to the Lyon County Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center which is open Monday - Friday from 10 A.M. - 2 P.M.
