17th Annual Quilt Show (2005)
Place: 11705 Main Street
Time: 10:00am-5:00pm
Sponsored by: Historic Middletown Museum & Middletown Civic Club
This year's show offers a competition with two divisions: 1. Quilts 5 years old or newer, and 2. Vintage quilts 1960 or older. The entry fee for each division is 15.00. Cash prizes will be awarded for the newer quilts - 100.00/1st prize, 75.00/2nd prize, 50.00/3rd prize. This is a juried event and judging will be by popular vote by attendees of the show. Quilts in this category must be entered by the quilter.
For the Vintage Quilt category, a quilt may be entered by any collector. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and entries will be judged by a panel of members of Historic Middletown, Inc.
Applications must be returned with a photo of the entry by Saturday, May 1, 2004. Quilters will be notified if the entry has been accepted and further instructions will be sent.
A Beginners Quilt class will be held during the event, and tours of The Middletown Inn will be conducted throughout the event.
