New Hope Community Church has moved into their new facility on 657 old Henderson Branch Road. The church was formerly located west of Olive Hill on U.S. 60. The church purchased the property a year ago which was formerly the old Apostolic church building. Now the structure has 6000 sq. ft. of sanctuary, classrooms, and offices. The church appreciates Billie Maddix and company, the general contractor, for the superior quality, thanks! The building is beautiful, especially inside.

The church offers a nursery with trained workers, Sunday school teachers that meet high standards of excellence and compassion, a care ministry, youth events, a warm loving atmosphere of hope and encouragement. This is a Bible believing group of believers that have found joy in God and the Christian life. The messages that are taught and preached are from the Bible are positive and practical to encourage you each week. The services are lively and spiritual.

This is a church that accepts anyone regardless of his or her beliefs or denominational background. It is a community church of Hope, healing and helping others. This can even be heard in the music that blends the traditional hymnals with uplifting and upbeat sounds of joyful singing that you can really understand.

New Hope Community Church was founded in 1991 by Rudy Reed (pastor) and his wife Judy, with the help of several other supporters in the Carter County area. The church is enjoying its new building and continues to provide community support with the church's care ministry which offers crisis interventions for families in stress in various areas of need, directed by Nancy Duncan of Olive Hill.

Rudy and Judy have been married for 32 years and have a son Christopher with wife Erica and granddaughter Caitie. Brother Reed has been pastor of the church for over eight years. He is a retired pipefitter from Ashland Local 248. He is a graduate from Morehead State University. He holds a MA. Degree in counseling from Church of God Theological Seminary. He is a Kentucky state Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Rudy is a director and a family (marriage) and individual counselor at the Family Counseling Center in Grayson where he has served for four years. His desire is to preach and teach the Word of God, build a church of hope and healing, and be a friend and to be available in times of need, and offer qualified, experienced counseling services for Olive Hill and surrounding area.

The church has just started a web site at www.olivehillchurch.com which is still not completely finished but it has some counseling resources and church information. Service times are Sunday Mornings at 10 & 11 a.m. and Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer at 7:00 p.m.
