Attractions

Home to "Christmas on the Bayou", which has been held, as of 2000, for the past 34 years. There is a large parade which winds its way along the picturesque Bayou Rouge which runs through the town. In the Main street area of the town there are booths set up for the sale of food and other Christmas goodies. A fireworks display is held on the Saturday night before the parade and on the Friday night, Christmas displays by residences and business places are judged. All this is held on the second week end in December are attracts visitors by the thousands who come early and party along the banks of the bayou.
