There is a large parade which winds its way along the picturesque Bayou Rouge which runs through the town. In the Main street area of the town there are booths set up for the sale of food and other Christmas goodies. A fireworks display is held on the Saturday night before the parade and on the Friday night, Christmas displays by residences and business places are judged.
