Pickering Elementary is a K-6 school with around 1000 students. Fort Polk Army base is close by and constitutes a large portion of the student population. Wallace Wilson is the principal assisted by Jimmy Maricle and Towanda Willrodt. Our mission statement is "We are learning to meet the challenges of today's world." Our school offers a full range of educational enhancements designed to allow the students to achieve their full potential. Band, sports, 4-H, Internet in every classroom and two Internet connected computer labs are just some of the enhancements.
