History & History Related Items Terrytown history: Terrytown was founded on 5 March 1960. It was named after Terry Kaplow, the developers' daughter. Paul Kaplow had two daughters, Terry and Carol Sue. If you notice the two main intersecting streets are Carol Sue Ave. running east and west and Terry Parkway running north and south.
