Directions from Stockbridge: Signs mark the route from the west end of Main Street. Take Route 102 West approximately two
miles to Route 183. Turn left and travel one mile to the Chestwood sign, turn right and follow tha signs for one-half mile. Chesterwood is three-fourths of a mile from the Norman Rockwell Museum.
Mon--Sun 10:00a- 5:00p. We are open May 1 - Oct. 31. Group tours by advance reservation, Picnic area & ample parking, Museum shop & Braille brochures are available. Chesterwood is the summer home and studio of Daniel Chester French, sculptor of the Seated Lincoln of the Lincoln Memorial and the Minute Man in Concord, MA and many other public works.

One of the oldest professional performing arts venues in the Berkshires, the Berkshire Theatre Festival enters its 75th anniversary season in 2003. Our rich theatrical past has flourished in the building we have always called home, and together we share a history that is the stuff of legends.
