The first full weekend of August each year
Glad-Peach Festival
Place: Coloma
Time: 3 days!
Sponsored by: Glad-Peach Festival, Inc
The Glad-Peach (Glad is short for (Gladiolus) has been held the first full weekend of August for 33 years. That weekend is the traditional peak period for both Glads and Peaches and the Coloma is in the heart of the "fruit belt" of southwester michigan along the coast of Lake Michigan. The festival has two parades, two street dances, many bands providing almost continuous music for three days, a Sunday car show, the Kalamazoo Valley Gladiolus Show, fireworks, and the best and friendliest people that I know of.
