Oxford is the Sister City to Oxford England.
Oxford is in the Detroit, MI Metropolitan Area. Polly Ann Trail (15 miles of rails-to-trails) leads to parks and rural areas north and to lovely suburban areas south. Downtown has interesting shops, restaurants, and a unique park with gazebo and English gardens. Downtown has free summer concerts in Centennial Park on Thurs nights at 7 pm. There are many churches and civic organizations. A well-maintained and attractive industrial park with some open space of development. There are many attractive neighborhoods with housing stock from affordable to exclusive. Oxford has a new Fire Station near downtown with full services and a local Police Department with 24/7 walk-in service, 911, and local area assistance. Oxford has an effective Public Works Departments that keeps roads clear of snow. The infrastructure is well maintained. Municipal Wells and Treatment plant provide safe, good tasting water. Senior Center, Parks and Recreation, government offices, Historical Museum, and Chamber of Commerce are near downtown.
