Memorial Day Parade
Place: Downtown Union City
Sponsored by: the Chamber of Commerce
The annual Union City Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 29th in 2000. This ever popular event usually features our High School Marching Bands, the local Fire Department, Tractor Parade, Children's Bicycle Parade, a visit from a local author, 4-H Groups, Girl Scout and Boy Scout Troops, and many area businesses. The main street is lined with American Flags for almost a mile on either side. Area Businesses decorate their store fronts for this day as well. The parade will end at the Riverside Cemetery, commemorating the veterans of past wars.
