Cosmos Space Festival
An annual celebration of the astronauts' first landing on the moon in 1969. In this town, with an out-of-this-world name, -- with streets named after constellations and space venues -- the annual get-together
features a Little Miss Universe and a Man in the Moon coronation, softball tournament, meals in the park, a Space Festival parade and many other activities.
An annual event in Cosmos held July 15-16, 2000
Sponsored by the Cosmos Lions, the Space Festival Committee and the Cosmos Community Club.
The Luce Trail, runs from Cosmos to Minneapolis. It is a good hiking/biking trail
Thompson Lake, not a swimming or boating lake, but is it a great
place for hiking and bird-watching.
