Albany was formerly known as Athens, Missouri. It was first laid out in May 1845. The name was changed from Athens to Albany in the year 1857 as there was another Albany in Clark County Missouri.

Saturday a Downtown Flea Market called the "Market Square", Parade and more evening festivities.
