History & History Related Items

This village was incorporated in November, 1937. Not much construction took place during the 1930's due to the Great Depression. Building resumed after World War II and mostly took place until 1958. All lots in the village were already improved with housing to be built per specifications. Due to its proximity to St. Louis, Bel-nor continued to thrive. In 1949, some neighboring areas were annexed including Belleview Park and Normandie Golf Club.
