Clarkson Valley has an elected mayor and six aldermen with an administrative staff of a city clerk and court clerk govern Clarkson Valley. Their philosophy is "less government is best," and the city provides basic services. It contracts with (the City of) Ballwin for police protection, and individual subdivisions own and maintain their streets.
