Greenwood Elementary was first a Womens' College, then it turned into a 1-12 grade school. Later, the school was turned into an elementary school. Then, the Lee's Summit R-7 school district bought the school and the building has been an elementary school since 1910. The building still stands today. You can find the building very easily because it is the biggest building in Greenwood. If you come to Greenwood make sure to take some time to enjoy the trees and the fresh air and enjoy what has taken years to make.
