Hartsburg Pumpkin festival!!! It's the only time and way our small town of approximately 160 can attract over 30,000 people in a period of two days, and that was with one day of a rain-out! This year (1999) the estimate of festival-goers range from 40,000-50,000. This is for all you big city folks that say we're just a little town in the sticks!!! A little town can do BIG things!

Hartsburg is a great place to live! Its only a 15 minute drive from Jefferson City, a 15 minute drive from Columbia and about 2-3 hours to both Kansas City and St. Louis!

The local schools are great, small townish with a good student-teacher ratio!

All-in-all, If you are going to consider moving, look to Hartsburg or its bigger counterpart Ashland!
