Ella Ewing
At the time of her death on 10 January 1913, she was officially the world's tallest woman at 8 feet 4 1/2 inches. She toured with the Barnum and Bailey Circus until her death. She was born on 9 March 1872 and was from Scotland County. The local funeral home, Gerths, took care of the arrangements. Fred Gerth, Sr. was the undertaker at her funeral. The site has pictures of the casket and other information about Ella.
