Other city services are contracted to private companies such as snow removal and street repair.
Fire and Ambulance service is provided by the City of Kansas City Missouri. This service is paid through property taxes.
The City Hall consists of a city clerk/court clerk as well as a City Manager who has lived and worked for the Village for many years.
The Village counsil consists of five elected officials. Open meetings occur once a month at City Hall.
The police department consists of four full time Officers including the Chief. There is a reserve Police Officer staff of 10 Officers. The reserve officers perform normal police duties, and court duty. The department owns two fully marked police vehicles and one fully marked police motorcycle.
