Business and Professional Women (BPW)
The first student chapter of Business and Professional Women (BPW) in the nation was chartered in April, 2003 in Springfield, Missouri on the campus of Southwest Missouri State University (SMSU). The 30 founding members come from a variety of business and professional disciplines at SMSU. The first President of SMSU's BPW Chapter is Kelli Wolf. She can be reached at kaw575s@smsu.edu The faculty advisor for the student chapter is Dr. Rose Utley, Associate Professor, Department of Nursing. Dr. Utley can be reached at rau293f@smsu.edu. Development of the SMSU Student Chapter was spearheaded by members of the Greater Ozarks Business and Professional Women's organization that was chartered in 1985.
