"The Story of the Choctaws, by T.V. Bounds"
"The Story of the Mississippi Choctaws" is a 25-page booklet written by Thelma V. Bounds, a 1st grade teacher at Conehatta Elemntary School, and illustrated by two students of the school, Willie Mack Wickson and Delmas Smith. This book was published
by the U. S. Dept. of Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, in 1958 and
includes information on the history, education, and health of the
Mississippi tribe as researched by Mrs. Bounds. It also contains
important information on the Choctaw Agency in the state as well as
native industry.
