We have a new Mayor: David Glen Whitehead. David, (Wife) Cindy, and (son) Chase, moved to Roxie from Dallas, TX to help take care of their elderly parents. David was elected mayor in June 2000 and has many plans to bring life back to Roxie. He has already received a $75,000.00 grant to fix and improve our 30 year old broken down sewer system and lagoon. Mayor Whitehead has plans for a new City Park for the Kids as well as the Elderly, a new pool, sidewalks, restoration of our old town buildings, and much much more. Mayor Whitehead has also commissioned a Flag to be created for the town.
