The original town was established in 1877 about a mile away from the present site. It developed as a stop for steamboat travel on the Yellowstone River and served as a base for those coming into the area.

The Barkemeyer Park
The Barkemeyer Park in Huntley is a beautful four acre park that is funded by year-round donations and our biggest fundraiser, the Barkemeyer Park Benefit Auction. We hope you come, spend a day in Huntley, enjoy some great hospitality and have some fun in the sun.
