Every year Rose Hill hosts the NC Poultry Jubilee at which the local men use pitchforks to fry thousands of whole chickens over several days using the World's Largest Frying Pan which is permanently located in the Town Square. The week-long event also includes a parade, arts & crafts, carnival rides and games, entertainment, and various county fair-type contests. The latter includes contests such as cakes & pies as well as the always favorite grape stomp sponsored by the local winery.
