Stoneville, North Carolina Historical Events

Tonight Stoneville, North Carolina, was hit hard by tornados and downtown was partially destoryed. Only three buildings were not torn apart. It will be hard to rebuild the community because so many of the buildings were historic and not insured.

Average class size in each grade in '89: 90
Existed until 1989, when it merged with neighboring Madison-Mayodan High School to form McMichael High School. The high school building was demolished in 1992. However the elementary and auditorium buildings are still in use.
