White Lake, North Carolina - Summer Resort Vacation Place in Southeastern North Carolina
White Lake, with about 1,200 acres is a commercial resort area. It is a very popular resort area, drawing over 200,000 tourists each summer. Water sports abound with swimming, boating, wake boarding, jet skiing and water skiing plus much more! Other non-water activities are in the area including amusement parks.
White Lake is named for its bottom of white sand. Being fed by subterranean springs, it's waters are crystal clear. There are no currents or tides and it has become known as the "Nation's Safest Beach."

White Lake Community Events
An Annual Event held in May-June each year.MelFest Bluegrass Festival
is a two-day acoustic bluegrass music festival. Ten bluegrass bands are scheduled to provide the best in acoustic bluegrass music. Admission is free. Spectators should bring their own chairs. The Friday program runs from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM. The Saturday program runs from 1:00 PM until 11:00 PM. This is a family oriented event. No alcohol, coolers, or pets are allowed in the music park area. There will be ample opportunities for "parking lot picking". Professional sound engineering supplied by SoundShop Studios, Inc.
