Genealogy Inquiry
I am writing from Canada, trying to track down part of my family from England who immigrated to America in the early 1900's, I believe. I have very little information to go on...very sketchy dates, names and places. However, something might "ring a bell" for someone and my search will be a little further on.
I am looking for my great aunt who's name I don't know, but she is my grandmothers older sister. My grandmother was born Bertha Webster in Heaton Moor, Lancashire England around 188? She married Charles Jordan and they had four sons...one of whom is my father John Jordan. But it's my grandmother's sister I'm looking for and this is what I know about her: She was also born in Heaton Moor in the late 1870's and married and immigrated with her husband to Lincoln Nebraska in the early 1900's. There is a possibility that her married name was Granger...but I can't confirm this. Apparently they did very well and moved on to California where they owned and operated a large lettuce farm.
